Frozen: A Warm-hearted Tale

Saw Disney Picture's animation flick 'Frozen' recently. A great film with a beautiful message worked in the plot. A film that celebrates filial love and the right to be different.

For a change, the heroine is not a weepy, delicate, classic beauty waiting for her Prince Charming to rescue her and walk down the aisle for a happily ever-after kind of ending. Here both the heroines are strong-willed, individualistic and full of fire. The elder sister Elsa, grappling with a curse, still enjoys her solitude and wants to "let it go". The younger girl, Anna, who is the more chirpy and exuberant of the two, believes fiercely in her sister and wants to bring her back to her rightful place.

Between them, they do not need any prince to solve matters or display any heroics. The prince turns out to be a frog, while the commoner helping Anna remains in the background. When the girls rock, who needs men? Anna is saved by the love of her sister, and not by any man.

The visuals and songs are stunning, and the pace is racy. Much action takes place where the girls deliver the punches. And the adorable snowman Olaf- in love with summer- is sooooo sweet! Do watch the film, it will not disappoint.
